Digestive System Illnesses And How We Our Eating Ourselves To Death

Although most of us don’t realise it yet, we are slowly but surely eating ourselves to death.

A strong statement indeed.

However, you don’t have to be a detective to know this – the evidence – is all around you. The rates of obesity, diabetes and digestive system illnesses are skyrocketing and they show no signs of slowing down.

Top Reason For Doctor Visits
The majority of doctors will tell you that the most common reasons why people visit their clinic is to do with digestive problems.
Why is this happening?

Here’s a clue for you.
Turns out the highest selling pharmaceutical drugs are antacids for heartburn.

That’s right, we our popping millions of these pills each year. Is it making us any better – you tell me? But one thing I do know, is that these drugs are making handsome profits for big pharma.

Why We Are Getting Sicker
There are many contributing factors, however one certainly influences them all and that is the diet most of us our eating these days.

Young people are now growing up in a world where they consider foods contained within plastic packages, diluted with chemical additives and artificial colourings, as normal food.

If that wasn’t bad enough, we have a growing number of kids who have never eaten a natural whole food in their entire life. That’s how bad it’s getting.

Supermarket Shelves Filled With Dead Foods
The big supermarkets that dominate the food supply in every city, town, and village, are filled with dead foods.

These foods are dead because they are low in healthy fiber, contain little to no nutritional value and due to pasteurisation they are also devoid of digestive enzymes.

The nutrients I’ve just mentioned are vital for you to remain fit and healthy. Unfortunately, you will not get the quantities you need from eating these processed and refined foods.

In fact, these foods don’t nourish you, they just fill you up.

You can eat large quantities of these foods, but you will always remain hungry, tired and wanting more. That’s because you’re not getting any nutrients or energy from these foods.

Gradually nutrient deficient food will lead to malabsorption. This is when your body is deprived of the nutrients, vitamins and minerals it needs to stay healthy. This eventually leads to several digestive system illnesses ranging from indigestion, bloating, constipation, diarrhea and intestinal infections.

The fact is the health of your body and quality of life will only get worse if you don’t change the way you eat. Think about this for moment. It’s important, especially if you have young kids.

Do you really want to depart this world without seeing them grow up?
It does not take much to change and it can be done gradually, a little bit at a time.
